Description
You’ve probably never heard of an Ahrens, and you definitely haven’t seen parts for sale from one. In the 1970s this was designed as the economical answer to the Dash-7, Nomad, Twin Otter, Metroliner, and Shorts SD330. The aircraft were to be constructed in Puerto Rico. The initial prototype was completed and flying, with 3 more being built when a still unexplained government probe into the company caused their work to be stalled & funding to be pulled. Part of the flying prototype’s stripped fuselage survives in the Hammargren Home of Nevada History. The others barely survive in derelict condition in Puerto Rico (one as a hot dog stand!)
These are the Pilot/Copilot Seats, and we believe them to be from the flying prototype based on where we acquired them. The seats are in overall ok condition, but could use a good recovering if you plan to use them outside of historic display.
